Public transport to the Amsterdam 7s

Public transport in the Netherlands works and it is relatively cheap. To get to the 7S tournament from the centre of Amsterdam catch the bus 21 from just in front of Central Station. In the mornings they leave Central Station every 15 minutes and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the tournament. Trams cover most of the city and are quick and easy to use and almost all end at Central Station. A €3,20 ticket will get you to most places in the centre.

Please note that cash payments in public transportation is no longer possible! For people visiting for the weekend it makes sense to get a 3 day ticket which allows you to travel anywhere in the city at any time on busses and trams. It costs €28,00 and you can get them online or from the GVB office at Central Station.

SEVEN’S SHINY SLEEPING SPOTS

For the first time In the history of the Amsterdam Rugby 7s we can offer players, fans and visitors a place to camp only 5 minutes walking away from the playgrounds. Costs for staying will be way lower than sleeping in a hotel and the other good thing is that you will stay among loads of other participants and fans.

On the campsite you’ll have three options. You can bring your own tent, you can bring your own camper or you rent one of the existing accommodations (tiny house, glamtainer, glamping tent).

The campsite has it’s own bar and tiny restaurant where you will find anything you need to survive the weekend…
